Welcome to my world of Caribbean Historical Fiction

Health Days and Sick Days

Posted on April 2, 2019 at 7:35 PM

When you are in the battle with your health, some days are just not what they crank out to be. Here I was healthy and hearty at 11.05am and by 11:30 I was flat in my bed.

Chronic pain and never ending cycle of fluctuating blood sugars has baffled my doctors for quite some time. Unlike diabetics, my blood sugars drop to dangerous levels when I eat. But for an unknown reason, the levels spike when we least expect it.

My medication, which was working so well, suddenly stopped regulating the level of sugar in my blood. Now it doesn't work at all.

Trying to write with brain fog, is the hardest part of this equation. But whether I put 10 words or 10,000 words down; I'm writing everyday and keeping my mind working to ward off any other pesky diseases that can creep in when you don't remain active.

Today I actually finished Last Chance Harbor, and began almost immediately Sea Glass Cottage. For those of you who are new to this blog, those are novels in the Pelican Point series, by the Amazing Vickie McKeehan.

Have I told you guys about my mentor extraordinaire Mary Buckham? Her series Invisible Recruits is also stellar.
